About the Opportunity
Currently, we are seeking multiple full-time Factory Service Technicians to join our team in the Greater Chicago Area, Illinois. The successful candidate can be based in Illinois or anywhere throughout the USA, as regular travel to our customers throughout the country will be required. Candidates must be able to travel internationally, as travel may be required to Canada or Germany offices for training/induction purposes.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Installing, repairing, and servicing products
- Maintaining daily communication with the Service Coordinator to exchange information and facilitate scheduling
- Installing burners utilizing hand tools and machine tools
- Starting up newly installed burners while checking electrical wiring and functionality of safety devices
- Maintaining burners during service visits
- Keeping up detailed documentation of service site visits for ease of billing and following up
- Being responsible for company tools, equipment, car, phone, and computer
More About You
To qualify, you will need 1-2 years of experience working in the burner/boiler industry or with industrial equipment, with a technical background or formal education in electronics, instrumentation, or engineering preferred. Experience with combustion controls, electrical components and function, and different kinds of electrical wiring diagrams are strong assets.
As our ideal candidate, you are willing to learn, while being a highly motivated, technically well-versed individual, experienced in providing expert troubleshooting advice and repairs. You are familiar with working independently, as well as part of a team of technicians and non-technical employees. You possess excellent communication skills, with an inclination for problem-solving, technical writing, and documentation.
